Dr. Shaun is from the small farming community of Easton, California. He grew up going with his mother to her chiropractic appointments, and when he saw how much chiropractic care helped his mother, he knew he wanted to do that for other people. He went through local schools and eventually went to Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose. After graduating in 2006, Dr. Shaun and his wife, Anna, briefly owned a practice in Fresno before moving to Salinas. Dr. Shaun trained under nationally renowned chiropractor Dr. Mark Kimes for the next few years. In 2015, the Matsumotos returned to the Central Valley and started a practice in Dinuba, California. Then in 2018, Dr. Shaun and his wife purchased the old Glanzer place on Alta Avenue and remodeled it to open Alta Chiropractic and Wellness Center. Patients from all over the Valley have been welcomed there ever since.
Dr. Shaun enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys listening to motivating books and podcasts and staying active through hiking, training, and competing in obstacle course races.
Dr. Sanchez is from the small farming community of Orosi, California. Before chiropractic, he was a massage therapist, specializing in helping athletes with their sports injuries through deep-tissue therapeutic massage. He began chiropractic care under Dr. Shaun in 2015, and the following year was in a severe car accident. After healing from multiple surgeries, Dr. Sanchez continued to attend his chiropractic visits, and it was then that he realized the extent of what chiropractic care could do. During his recovery, he also read self-help books, including "You Are the Placebo" by chiropractor Dr. Joe Dispenza. He credits that book and chiropractic care for his return to health. With some encouragement and support from Dr. Shaun, Dr. Sanchez enrolled at Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward, California. He returned to Dinuba after graduating in 2022 and joined Alta Chiropractic and Wellness Center in February 2024.
Dr. Sanchez enjoys art, comedy, reading, photography, music, gardening, hammocks, and playing the Native American flute. He is passionate about hiking and spending time enjoying nature.
